Mike Trout

Michael "Mike" Nelson Trout (born August 7, 1991) is an American professional baseball outfielder for the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim of Major League Baseball. He debuted with the Angels in 2011.

Trout was considered to be one of the top prospects in all of baseball and was named the second best overall prospect by Baseball America, during their midseason update in July 2010. Prior to the 2011 season, Trout was ranked #1 by ESPN's Keith Law in his 2011 top 100 prospects list. MLB's Jonathan Mayo also named Trout the #1 prospect in all of baseball during MLB Network's airing of MLB's Top 50 Prospects

Trout became the youngest player ever to hit at least 20 home runs and steal at least 40 bases in a season. Former Houston Astros center-fielder Cesar Cedeno previously was the youngest player to accomplished the feat back in 1972. He also became the youngest hitter ever to hit at least 20 home runs and steal at least 30 bases in a season. Trout scored his 100th run of the 2012 season against the Tigers on August 26th. He became just the second Angels rookie to score at least 100 runs in a season. The other was Devon White who did it in 1987. After scoring a run in the second inning in a game against the Mariners on August 31st, Trout set a new Angels record for most runs scored in a rookie season, passing White who scored 103 runs in 1987. Trout scored 3 runs in the game, his tenth game of the season where he scored three plus times, the most since Sammy Sosa did it 11 times in 2001 with the Chicago Cubs. Source: wikipedia.org
